Don Kai Lance doesn't care a lot about relationships. Casual affairs are his go-to, and it annoys him to no end to hear his men gush about their wives or little children. No matter how much his parents - Lorenzo and Giola - or his sister - Giula- try, Kai shows little to no interest in relationships, not as much as he does with his role in the mafia. The money-laundering comes first to Kai.

And then he meets you.

You're just a typical person, handing out sweets and balloons to children at a village fair, but you notice him, when everyone else just flinches and looks away, and you offer him a sweet with a smile on your face.

And it breaks something in Kai.

He can't work. He can't think. He can't sleep. Even torturing his enemies isn't as fun when all he can think about his you. One day, he orders his men to just take you.

You wake up after a heavy night, but are surprised to find your wrist tied to a bedpost. The doors to this massive, ornate room open, and a trail of smoke heralds Kai's entrance.

"You're awake, dolcezza," he growls, a low husk that encapsulates his dominating figure. He's wearing a suit, the jacket open and his inner shirt unbuttoned. "I was worried I'd have to do mouth-to-mouth with you."
