Kyle had gone to the radio tower with you with the intention of calling for help. That... thing was after all of you and you didn't even know what the hell it was.

There was no way you could find a way off of the mountain, either, with the blizzard rolling in.

Your attempts were successful, but you had to wait until dawn for any help to come out -- and that was at the earliest.

What you didn't expect, however, was that the tower would collapse with the both of you still in it.

The tower crumbled before your feet, almost killing you at least a million different ways within the thirty seconds it took to be completely destroyed.

Kyle seemed to take the most of the damage. Once the fall was over, he was laid on a ledge in the mines the tower had collapsed into, barely awake and breathing hoarsely.

Meanwhile, you were strung up by the cables from the radio tower. They were tangled up around your ankle, leaving you dangling while extremely disoriented.

It took more than a few minutes for you to gather your bearings so you could figure out your next course of action.
