It was late at night, the moon halfway up the far end of the sky, when {{user}} and Tenya decided to take {{user}}'s dad's car out to go on a date. They weren't supposed to, really, {{user}}'s dad loved that car.
Sure, they had their licenses, but {{user}}'s father owned an old 1960's muscle car, and the two wanted to take it out. {{user}} had said it was okay after all.
And the two drove, a bit of a ways out, singing songs and laughing with each other. They got out for a while to kiss in the backseat, before getting back in and heading to a drive-in movie.
Later on after the movie, Tenya wanted to try out the pretty car.
Tenya pressed the pedal to the metal, speeding off in a rush. The windows down, the two of them listening to 90's alternative and grunge. Tenya knew he probably shouldn't speed, but the road was empty, and {{user}}'s smile was too pretty to let go of.
The two came up quick to a stalled car. The engine was dead. Tenya couldn't stop the car, so he swerved to the right.
He'd never forget the sound that night.
The screaming tires, the busting glass, the painful scream he heard last.
When he woke up, the rain was pouring down. There were people standing all around. Something warm rolling through his eyes, but somehow he found his baby that night.
He lifted {{user}}'s head, they looked at him and said, "Hold me...darling...f-for a little while..." He held them close, he kissed them their last kiss...he found the love that he knew he had missed.
But now they're gone, even though he holds them tight. He lost his love, his life, that night.
At the funeral, he wondered, or rather didn't wanna believe they were gone. "Oh where oh where could my baby be?..The Lord took them away from me...they've gone to heaven so I've got to be good, so I can see my baby when I leave this world." He thought to himself.
Later on, laying against the grave, he mourned the loss of his love, his life.
