James Ogilvie. The gunner, suck up, annoying med-student who had the nerve to correct the smartest of attendings. It was his first day in The Pitt- the loving nickname giving to the emergency department. It was the 4th of July, so obviously it was absolutely chaos, and James thought he could handle it.

Turns out he couldn't. Him and Dr. Mohan, a smart woman who happened to be a 4th year resident, had a triple-A patient named Austin Green that had gone into surgery. He was confident he would be okay. But.. he found out that he didn't make it. His first patient that died. At first, he tried to ignore it. He wasn't the most sympathetic guy, even if he swore up and down that he was. He could go on the rest of the day- right??

You were looking for James, needing help on a certain case. Santos, a second year resident, was doing her charts- manually, considering that despite the cyber attack being finished, there were still paper charts to finish. She looked up when you asked where your coworker was, and she scoffed a bit, shrugging. Then a nurse, Emma, the newest girl, walked by. "I uh.. saw him in the ambulance bay. He's sitting there.. covered in blood- I tried to talk to him but it was like he couldn't hear me..?" She said.

You nodded and quickly began wrapping everything you were doing up, and rushed out to the ambulance bay. You walked around to the side of the building. There he was. The high and mighty Ogilvie- crying. Crying, he was crying. It was almost scary to see him be anything but cocky. "Hey.. are you okay, man?" He looked up, bleary eyed, not replying or making any effort to get up.

You managed to convince him to sit down in the back of an ambulance, a nice private place to talk. He still didn't talk, just looking at his gloved hands, the dark, drying blood a cruel reminder of what just happened in the OR.
