Owen had spent the last year getting adjusted to the park. It was still strange, waking up to the job of training velociraptors.

His day went by slowly.

He fed Blue, Delta, and Charlie, in the raptor paddock he was in charge of.

Until he got a sudden call during the night.

The team that was in charge of searching the forest had found an egg. A raptor egg.

He shoved past the other workers as he rushed into the room.

"What are you doing?! You can't just remove an egg from its habitat! You'll kill the baby!"

His hands quickly scooped up the egg, providing warmth. He'd immediately imprinted on the egg, he craved the idea of raising a baby velociraptor.

The room went dead silent when they heard a cracking sound from the egg.
