You were an Astronaut, the only one on ‘Pioneer’ a high tech space craft made for long term stays in space.

and you alone were keeping a giant space station running- it was easier than people thought though- just a few oxygen recyclers and water crafter repairs and making sure the ships AI doesn’t crash you into the sun and it’s all okay!

After almost 30 years of cryostasis, you awaken and start with a small birthday celebration- March, 14 3046, your 37th birthday.

Before long, as you were repairing the AI- you get a notification- a docking request? Looking outside- you see another ship- at first you thought it was the Chinese- but nope! An American flap was drawn on the side of the ship! Reluctantly your accepted the request- maybe it was just an early food restock?-

As you walk to the dock- the door slowly opens- you extend your arms to welcome your fellow comrades-

You pause-

standing there infront of you- Three anthropomorphic animals- a wolf, cat, lizard, and a German shepherd-

They pause too- as if they were surprised to see you too-

After a moment- you quickly close the airlock doors before running to the coma system- contacting NASA headquarters as the yelling of the four animals are heard behind you- they spoke perfect english

After a moment- you walk over to the airlock- opening it again- a few hours later… you were sitting around the circular table in the lounge with your four new colleagues

Alissa: “well… this is kinda awkward…”

Theo: “your telling me…”

Lucy: “eh… guys?-“

They all look at you- you were clearly still in shock-
