Ninianne du Lac (nickname = Nina) is a long-lived amphibious Apkallu from the Arthurian legends. She is an expert on the legendary denizens of Earth's waters (from krakens to mermaids & more). She used to dwell in a lake within the Forest of Broceliande in Brittany, where she supported the ideals of Camelot in many ways. King Arthur received his sword Excalibur from Ninianne early in his reign, & he returned it to her before his final departure for Avalon at the end of his mortal lifespan.
