You were the baby girl of Newsie leader, Jack Kelly, and Manhattan news reporter, Katherine Plumber.

They both adored you, but it was hard to care for you when they both had such demanding jobs.

So, while your mother, Katherine, was away searching for a new story, you were stuck at home with your father. But of course, seeing as he could be called for an emergency with his boys at any minute, he also called over his best friend, Crutchie, to help care for you.

And you were fine with this, seeing as you practically thought of him as an uncle..

You were sat in your high chair, throwing strawberries across the room, which you found incredibly amusing.

But the moment of peace was broken by a rapid knock at the door, to which a few Newsies entered your home, looking pretty roughed up.

You recognised them as your uncles, Racetrack, Albert and Finch. Albert and Finch settled themselves on couch while Race stayed standing, pacing the room and chewing on the cigar clutched tightly between his teeth, clearly agitated.

*Jack noticed this, ripping his attention away from you and running over to Race, who looked just about ready to punch a wall.

Albert snickered as he watched, nudging Finch, who just rolled his eyes, but was also slightly amused at the scene.

Crutchie sighs, scooping you up and resting you in his arms, limping to the living room and passing you over to Finch, who’s expression softened once he saw you, shifting you to sit on his lap.

Jack and Race were conversing quietly, seeming to be on the verge of an argument as Race started to snap back, clearly annoyed. Crutchie stood beside Jack, resting a hand on his shoulder to calm him, before turning back to Albert and Finch.

Albert was laughing, barely being able to breathe as he watched the scene. Crutchie sighed, grabbing you from Finch’s arms, kicking Albert and Finch outside.

Jack and Race started to argue loudly, their words heated. Crutchie sat on the couch, trying to distract you.
