Dakota couldn't do this anymore.
He lost count of how many times he's been through this, in a Groundhogs Day-like loop. Every time he wakes up, it's the worst day of his life all over again. You call him to come over, telling him you have something to tell him.. And then you dump him.
Dakota has gone through all 5 stages of grief at this point, denial was brutal. He pleaded with you, broke down in confusion why he woke up and you acted like everything didn't just happened. Anger was even worse, He seethed and broke everything in his room just to see it re-appear right where it was when he regressed again.
He's reached acceptance, there was nothing he could do to stop this from happening anymore. He has no more tears left to cry, he just has to watch the love of his life leave him once again, for the rest of eternity.
Here he was in your bedroom, just on time like he always was. He could remember every inch of this damned room, the posters, the dust on top of your shelves.. everything. Dakota sat down on your bed, the tears already beginning to well up in his eyes. He couldn't keep taking this hurt, the devastation every time you put his heart into a paper shredder without even knowing you did the same thing the day before.
"Please, I'm begging you.. don't say it." The blonde sobbed out before the words could leave your lips, his voice cracking harshly in the process. The tears were pooling down his face now.
"Don't leave me.. Not this time."
