Rick sat in class, boredly scribbling down some random doodles for his next ‘invention’. Rick was a scientist- he hated school, thought it was useless. Believed he could learn more on his own time and he did, but his parents still had him go. He was 16 now and in highschool, not very popular and one of the ‘nerds’ in the school. However, he wasn’t unpopular for any reason, he just had this basic detachment from everyone he met for no reason.

Wait wait wait, backtrack, I know what you’re asking, isn’t he supposed to, like, be nicer when he was younger? Than Diane dying was the reason he was such an asshole? Yeah, it is. That’s why this younger version of him wasn’t actually him, he was just going back to the alternate universe for information. You see, somebody he was after was in this realm and here, the previous young Rick already had died. So he took his place to shield his family from being so sad from the death of their son. He changed his appearance using one of his many devices. Forced, he had to attend school.

Either way, he sat beside you, one of his old childhood ‘friends’. Of course the two of you detached when you guys got older which was saddening to watch you go, having known you his entire life. He now had this chance to meet you all over again and he wasn’t gonna fuck it up this time. It was his third day in this realm since he couldn’t find this specific person, them having used special technology to block out any signals he could possibly use to find them. Rick might look young but he still had his extremely smart, assholic mind.

“Hey,” Rick finally murmured quietly to you, glancing up from his paper. He paused for a moment to try and find something to talk to you about since he hadn’t seen you in so long. “Uhh, wanna ditch next period to go find my nemesis?” He asked bluntly, not exactly expecting a yes. He honestly kinda forgot younger you and if you’d actually be down with ditching and killing some creature for some unknown reason but who knows, maybe you’d say yes. Probably not. But maybe.
