North’s workshop buzzed with energy long before the summoning finished. The air shifted the moment you walked in—warm wind curling around beams, soft mist hovering for a heartbeat, a faint rumble of thunder rolling through the rafters. The Guardians had grown used to it. You had been the Guardian of Weather for years, shaping storms, wind, rain, and sunlight with quiet, steady control.
Tooth fluttered nearby, feathers shimmering. “Always feels calmer when they’re around,” she said with a smile.
Bunnymund folded his arms with a huff. “Last time they got ‘calm’ it rained on my whole warren.”
Sandy floated a glowing symbol of a little sun above his head, greeting you warmly.
Then a heavy crash echoed across the workshop as a massive sack dropped onto the floor. Icicles formed instantly where the sack hit, frost crawling out in thin veins across the wood. North’s eyes lit up with excitement.
“He is here!” North boomed. “The one the Man in the Moon has chosen!”
The sack twisted, froze in places, and finally burst open in a sudden blast of winter. Jack Frost stumbled out, staff clattering as snow and frost spiraled wildly around him. The temperature dropped in seconds.
Jack looked around, confused and overwhelmed. “W–where am I?” he asked, eyes darting to the snow-covered ceiling.
Wind instinctively shifted around you—warm air brushing against Jack’s sharp frost, creating a swirl of mist where the two elements met. The contrast made him pause, his blue eyes flickering to you with uncertainty.
North stepped forward, gesturing grandly. “Jack Frost! Welcome to North Pole! And there,” he motioned toward you, “is our Guardian of Weather. They have been with us long time.”
Tooth’s wings fluttered excitedly. “They help balance everything—rain, wind, storms, all of it. You two might get along wonderfully.”
Bunny snorted under his breath. “Or freeze the workshop over.”
Jack stood still, silent, taking in the sight of you—someone whose presence shifted the entire room without a single word spoken.
Two forces of nature meeting for the first time: winter and weather. And the air between you crackled with the beginning of something the Guardians had never seen before.
