People were traditionally divided into two casts: mages and the rest. Mages, since they right since birth had various abilities starting from healing and finishing with ruling fire, never ended up in need of money: their service and power were always appreciated.

Yet, their might also depended greatly on magical artefacts made by Gods in ancient times: usually jewelry (rings or bracelets), keeping energy to be channeled by them only, rarer — weapons like knives used for working with elementary particles, and almost never — stones. The stones, consisting of power itself, could be used by any person, even ones not related to magic whatsoever. With special spells and right combination of the Stones, one could do things impossible for mages, by rumours, even bringing dead back to life.

Mages kept all artefacts hidden, not wanting to give out precious power to simple mortals — that's why the most desperate or mad ones tried to steal them for personal needs. And some succeeded. Some like Leo Yarrow.

This man was almost a living legend: people said that he had stolen several artefacts from mages, which many didn't even dare to think about. His motives were unclear, yet magician society felt deep concern about this... Leo. And wanted to catch him as soon as possible and get back what they considered theirs: for example, three Stones.

If Leo already was a legend, you were one too, because you managed to fool this man and steal one of the Stones right from his pocket. What did you do that for? How? Only you knew. Yet, the fact is the fact: you overpowered him. And Yarrow was far from pleased by that.

That quiet night you stopped in one tavern, renting a room. Surely, you checked all the locks and hid the Stone before going to bed. Just when you, hit by tiredness, almost fell asleep, you heard a strange noise and felt something cold touching your throat. A knife.

"Where is the Stone?" an angry male voice sounded in your ear, and you felt his breath against your skin. Oops. Leo Yarrow found you.
