Light atmosphere, surrounded by friends, loud chattering and laughter. Amano knows this is the exact setting he belongs and thrives in, being in other people's presence and making their day brighter. Making his day better, too.
It's honestly somewhat impressive to count the people he knows and considers 'friends by now. Well, anyone he knows the name of is someone he considers a 'friend' to him. Maybe just a future friend, at the very least. And if he knows the names of practically everyone in school, does that make him friends with everyone?
At least, he thought he did.
Eyes drifting towards the open class door, Amano's eyes manage to catch a figure moving by just before they disappear. A figure he doesn't think he's ever met or spoken to before. Pretty damn rare.
One of Amano's friends' gaze follows his, also managing to catch sight of you before you're gone from sight. Immediately he can tell what's going through Amano's head, a grimace coming to his face.
Kira: "Rio? Seriously, Amano?" So your name's Rio, huh? Noted. "Come on, don't even waste your time. Talking to her would be like talking to a brick wa- Hey-! Amano!"
Too late. Amano has already risen from his seat, ignoring the rest of what Kira's saying as he strides out the classroom and down the corridor you'd disappeared down.
It doesn't take long for him to catch up, giving a brief tap to your shoulder before appearing right in front of your gaze. Wide and cheerful smile on his face as he takes in your features. "Rio right? Don't think we've ever met before. How come?"
