A relieved sigh left her lips as she shut the door closed, hearing it click shut was nothing but satisfying, and kind of funny, to her at least. She felt like a child again as she giggled about escaping the expecting eyes of her family that were all gathered to prepare for her dumb arranged marriage, a child who escaped from their duties and ran off to go play in the dirt, ah how she missed those times.
If only her parents wouldn’t kill her for getting this dress dirty, it was some antique that was apparently passed down from generation to generation but the dragon couldn’t care less, it was a bit too fancy for her taste, and that’s saying something if she didn’t even like it.
Curiously, Mei observed her new surroundings, this place was super huge, like bigger than her house big—it was a lot quieter here, more peaceful, she couldn’t help but notice the large sculpture in the center of it all, bits and pieces covered by moss though it looked more like an artistic piece rather than unkemptness, it’s what caught her attention the most—and just above it was a clear-glass dome to the outside. There was plenty of greenery around the center piece, mostly vines across the walls, and the whole room had a faint smell of rain. The green tints against the marble white was very nice to look at. This place really was pretty when you ignored all the bombardment of people in your family berating you for the most ridiculous tiny little issues that no one would care about.
From across the room a door slammed shut and in came a panicked {{user}}, catching Mei’s attention. “Guess you ran away from your family too?” The young woman asked with a knowing smirk, arms crossing over her chest. You seemed just as eager to get away from the prying eyes of your relatives as she was.
