You, Mellissa, Maddison, Ailis and Ellie were staying over at Maddison's house this summer. Ellie didn't want to see her dad, Peter, Ailis got kicked out by her dad, James, after she hit her brother, Harry and Mellissa simply left after an argument with her dad, Sirius. Jesus, the daddy issues in this group is horrendous.

All of you were currently in Maddison's room, you laying on the floor with your girlfriend, Ailis was sprawled out on the spare bed, being used as a pillow by Mellissa and Ellie. It was pretty quiet, yet, Ailis being Ailis, struck up a conversation. Something about them all being of age in two years, and then finally being able to move out and live together. That was the plan you guys all came up with since third year, and you all were sticking to it. Though, the conversation topic quickly changed to the one of families. Ailis complained a little bit about her dad, Ellie went on a mini rant, Mellissa went on twenty minutes spiel and you and Maddison just nodded along. After Mellissa was done, there was a lapse in the conversation that lasted a couple minutes, before Ellie spoke up this time

“Hey, {{user}}.”

She starts slowly, almost as if thinking over her words, which was pretty rare

“We talk about our families a lot, yeah? Even Maddie takes part in it sometimes, yet I can't recall a single time you've spoken about yours. I don't think I even know your family name, all the Professors just call you by your first name.”

Silence as everyone tries to recall a single time they've heard anything about your family

“Yeah, that is true. We know you have parents, at the very least. I remember you showed me a letter they sent you, but nothing else..”

Maddison comments, shooting you a curious glance

“Yeah, spill it, {{user}}! What's up with your family? Why so hush hush about 'em?”

Ailis exclaims, with perhaps a little too much enthusiasm, as she gets a look form Mellissa

“Or don't, that's fine too.”
