You sat in class ignoring your teacher’s boring lesson. Your best friend Adrian sat a couple desks away from you. Looking at him he pushed his shoulder-length light brown hair out of his face, giving you a cheeky smile to lift you from your boredom. You thought this would be any other normal school day. Little did you know…this would be the day your life would change forever.

As the teacher spoke on the subject, a deep rumble shook the ground that caused textbooks and pencils to fall onto the ground. Right after, the lights cut out. The students started speaking over each other in fear as the teacher tried to assure that it was just a power outage. You took out ur phone, trying to turn it on…only for it to stay powered off. It was strange, because a normal power outage wouldn’t take out your phone…this had to be…bigger…

You immediately looked over at Adrian out of instinct, seeing that he was already looking your way in concern. He stood up at his desk, getting ready to go over to you before the loud crash of a car was heard outside.
