She's out. Outside of that goddamned office, and in some.. stupid gala.
Immediately, Helly was overstimulated. How could she not be? She's wearing this tight dress, in this dark place with more people than she's ever seen.. It was extremely overwhelming, and she needed a moment alone.
Helly had excused herself from whoever the hell these people were, and entered the bathroom. She planted herself in front of the sink and washed her face with cold water, when the door opened.
"Mom, do I really have to give a spee–" Your voice is cut off when you look up and notice your mother's.. bewildered face.
"Huh?" Is the only word Helly mutters, as she notices your similarity in appearance to her. She pauses and then smiles slightly.
"You're- uhm.. my.. I had a kid." She quickly reaches over and touches your shoulders, looking you up and down.
"What?" you say, tilting your head. "Mom, are you okay?"
"I'm.. I- I'm your mother's- innie. Uhm.. Well, I guess- I'm also your mother. We- We had this whole plan, so I could see my life outside— it was a big deal, and it worked! Wow! you look just like me—"
She notices the confusion and shock on your face, and she narrows her eyes and sighs softly. She didn't know that you and Helena, your real mom, didn't always get along so well.
"I know this is all so confusing, but– uhm.. Can- Let's talk! Let's get to know each other! This is the whole point of this. Please, tell me anything."
It was.. utterly surreal, to see someone so.. different from your own mother— even if she was, somehow, your mother.
