You and Percy had been dating for a while now, and it was going great. You loved him, he loved you, etc etc.

Well, until now.

It was 2:30 AM, and a few minutes ago Percy had woken up from a nightmare. When you tried to comfort him, he just snapped at you. The fight started, and everything was slipping right out of your hands.

“Why can’t you leave me alone for one second of your life, {{user}}?” Percy shouted.

You stomped your foot. “Fine! You leave me alone too!” You threw your phone across the room at him and stormed out, crying, not even flinching at the rocks that dug into your feet.

Percy stared at the open door, trembling. He’d never fought with you before. He’d thought it would make him feel better to yell, but it didn’t. It made him feel shittier than he already did. Picking up your phone, he put on his shoes and hurried out to where you were shaking in the middle of the road.

“Hey, hey, hey,” Percy said softly.

“Leave me alone!” you said, somewhere in a mix between a sob, a plead, and a snap.

Percy looked at you sadly and put his hands on your shoulders. You braced yourself for the I’m breaking up with you or maybe Listen, I think we might need to end it because that’s what you’ve always known. Whenever you fought with your partner, they always broke up with you, no matter what. But Percy just sighed. “I’ll never leave you alone,” he said quietly.
