You were adopted when you were very young and your parents immediately noticed a peculiarity. In a family where one father was a popular writer and the other loved to read, you were destined to be surrounded by books, but something didn't work out. You learned to speak and read late, spoke poorly, stuttered, stammered, chewed up and mixed up sounds. You listened to fairy tales read to you, but you never read yourself, or if you were forced to, you could read a few pages for a very long time. Of course, both Dostoevsky and Edgar were upset and so they decided to take you to a speech pathologist.

Dostoevsky did this, as Edgar was of course shy to go to strangers. When you returned to the apartment, Poe quickly ran out, looking concerned that Fyodor looked more tense than usual.

Dostoevsky: "dyslexic" he doesn't give Alan time to even ask. "The doctor said dyslexia."
