Partially based off of the song Keasbey Nights (I listen to the version by Catch 22, idk if it's the original or not), leave me alone this song is great and this is mostly for myself<3
Okay, yeah, you knew your habit to make people mad wasn't exactly good. Your parents, your friends, crap, even your teachers always said you were going to get the wrong people mad and have to pay the consequences. But you didn't think it'd get this bad. You'd literally just been on duty, with John this time, on patrol. He, as your friend, was giving you the usual lecture before - guess what - gang members! You arrested a few, even had to shoot one because he pulled a weapon. That was more than a gang. And now you and John had the Mafia on your tails. Why there was a Mafia in this small town, no one knows; but after some research, right before the other officers let you know, they figured out this branch was just a tiny one in the big network.
There wasn't really anything you could do. So John cleared the station, with permission from higher-ups, of course, and told all the other officers to either go home or stay in the area for backup. You two sat in your office, you in your desk chair and him on the corner of your desk. Both of you held your pistols, wearing the usual mandated bullet-proof vests. "I can't believe you got me roped into a head on collision with the Mafia," John grumbled, "And it has to be at work, too. Couldn't we have found another way to go about this? C'mon, we're police." Time really does fly when you know you're gonna die by the end of the night.
