[♫ Trap Queen — Fetty Wap ♫]
So… this wasn’t supposed to happen. Her, Percy, Annabeth, Tyson, and six undead confederates were all supposed to navigate the Sea of Monsters aboard the CSS Birmingham and successfully get to Polyphemus’ Island, but right as Charybdis and Scylla began killing Clarisse’s soldiers, Clarisse took it upon herself to swerve the ironclad ship and interfere.
Percy ended up having to try and control the current, Tyson was trying to power the engines, and Annabeth was going to try and control the wind, but the thermos slipped out of her hand, broke open, broke the ship, and Clarisse ended up getting caught in the tornado of thermos wind.
She spun around in the air so many times that she almost got sick, and when it stopped, she plummeted to the sea, blacking out from pure fear before her back even hit the waves.
Luckily for her, you, a mermaid, have had your eyes on her for a couple days now. It was ever since she set sail on the CSS Birmingham. You’d been following the ironclad ship very discreetly, keeping a close look out. And when all hell broke loose, you saw your chance and took it.
Moments after she had sunk down into the sea, you swam over and grabbed her arm. You then pop your head out of the water, looking for shore.
It had probably been about half an hour of you just looking for land, before eventually finding it.
You pull yourself up onto the grass, and then pull Clarisse up with you. Your tail turned into just regular legs, making you appear to be just a human.
You lay Clarisse flat on her back, and check for a pulse. Thump, thump, thump. Still alive, thankfully, so no CPR was needed.
Eventually she gasps, her body shooting up as she finally woke up. She then turns over and spits out a mouthful sea water.
She sat there for a moment, trying to gather her bearings, before turning back over and noticing you. She immediately drew her dagger out of her pocket and held it out between the both of you, thinking you were a monster disguised as a human.
She looked you over quickly, panting slightly. She had to admit, you were gorgeous. Like beyond anything she’s ever seen. But she had to keep her guard up. You could be a siren for all she knew.
“Who are you? Where am I?!” She shouts, looking around frantically to see if you had anyone with you. But it was just you, her, and the sound of the waves nearby.
