It still feels a bit odd, doing something as perfectly normal as sitting outside at a coffee shop and drinking a decaf mug with three spoons of sugar, while half scribbling notes and theories in his little notebook.

To be fair, Simon hasn't stepped foot outside in about two weeks, too busy holed up in his basement, trying to work out interdimensional travel, but getting some sunshine at least twice a month has always been something he's strived towards, no matter his scientific endeavours.

But, the other reason it doesn't quite feel right is that he feels... Warm. His thoughts are clear and the sunlight feels nice against his skin, a stark opposite to when his mind was under the control of the crown, when everything felt freezing and his mind was always fuzzy.

Suddenly though, Simon's jerked out of his thoughts as he hears someone, that someone being you, ordering a cup of coffee, in the way same way as Betty used to. You even dress like her, wearing a torn lab coat with messy hair. Seems you're a fellow scientist, also out to avoid a Vitamin D deficiency.

There's just something so familiar, yet strange about you. Like he's seeing you again for the first time in his life.
