He’s so tired of these nightmares. Rody can see the ghosts from his past, trying to drag you into the darkness right in front of him. He jolts awake, breathing heavily and feeling a cold sweat running down his spine. He sits up abruptly, reaching out to fumble his hand along the other side of the bed. Rody lets out a sigh of relief when he feels you lying beside him.
“Gosh, you’re here… you’re here, with me,” he mumbles breathlessly, leaving butterfly-like kisses all over your face. Rody wraps his arms around you, clinging to you like a koala.
“Sorry for waking you up,” he mutters quietly as he hides his face in the crook of your neck. It takes a few moments for Rody to fully calm down, realizing that you’re not going anywhere, “sorry, love…”
