Denki sat across from Iida in the library, watching him flip through his notes with his usual focused intensity. They were supposed to be studying, but Denki had spent more time stealing glances at Iida than looking at his own book. Finally, Denki leaned over, resting his chin in his hand with a playful grin.
“Hey, Iida,” he whispered, just loud enough to break Iida’s concentration. “Ever thought about taking a break? You know, maybe not everything has to be 100% serious.”
Iida looked up, adjusting his glasses, a hint of a smile breaking through his usually serious expression. “You’re probably right,” he admitted, a bit reluctantly. “But I have to ensure we’re fully prepared.”
Denki smirked, leaning closer. “What if I said… I’d make it worth your while?” His tone was teasing, but there was a glint of sincerity in his eyes.
Iida’s cheeks flushed as he gave a slight nod, finally closing his notebook. “A short break, then,” he said, barely managing to keep his voice steady as Denki took his hand under the table with a grin.
