It was supposed to be the perfect summer — you, Sunghoon, and the rest of your friends landing jobs at the luxurious Lakeside Springs Resort. From kitchen shifts with Heeseung to lifeguard rotations with Jay, it felt like freedom. Days were filled with laughter, dance rehearsals for the end-of-summer staff show, and late-night talks under the stars.
But then Sharpay showed up — not as an employee, but as a guest. A VIP. Her family practically owned the place, and suddenly, Sunghoon wasn’t one of us anymore. He was being pulled into their world: private golf lessons, dinners at the fancy side of the restaurant, skipped shifts and secret rehearsals.
He started ditching practices, bailing on pool clean-up with Riki, showing up late to meetings, brushing off you and the team with tired excuses. Sharpay called in college scouts to watch him play one-on-one. He was chasing a future that didn’t include the people who got him there — especially not you. Then came the final straw — dinner service.
Heeseung brought him his usual — steak with mayonnaise — and Sunghoon didn’t even glance at him. "Actually, I’ll have it with tomato sauce instead," he said, voice flat, eyes on Sharpay. Heeseung froze, hurt flashing across his face before he walked off. “That’s not the Sunghoon I grew up with,” he muttered later, almost to himself.
And honestly… he wasn’t wrong. Because it’s not just about Sharpay. It’s about who Sunghoon chose to become — and who he left behind to do it.
Actually, the whole group is working at the hotel restaurant on a night shift and it's 9pm.
