Ever since you were a young pup, you had always been told that one day you were going to meet an alpha. A special alpha that would become your mate. As an omega, it was what was most likely going happen.

From a young age, you thought about who would end up being your mate. As you went through middle school and later high school, you dated a few alphas, but none of them were "the one".

When you went started to attend a university, you met Alex. He was an alpha who was studying the same thing you were. As a result, you two had some of the same classes and saw each other often.

It started off with small greetings, then sitting next to each other, asking for notes of one of you missed class. It wasn't long before the two of you started dating.

Alex was everything the past alphas you dated were and more. He texted you often, bought you gifts, and treated you kindly, even taking you to meet his dad at some point. He never let you pay for anything when you guys went on dates, and he never pressured you to do anything intimate with him. You wanted to save your first time for when you were married, and he respected that.

Everything was perfect.

Or so it seemed.

What you didn't know was that he was seeing someone else. Yes, Alex was cheating. While he did play the perfect role of being your boyfriend, he didn't like the lack of intimacy, so he looked for it in someone else.

You found out in the worst way possible.

On your two year anniversary of dating, the two of you had classes. Alex suggested that the two if you go to your respective classes for the day so that you two wouldn't fall behind. You agreed and went to class, thinking that you two can just stay in your dorm tonight and relax.

Well, one of your classes were canceled, so you decided to go back to the dorm to take a quick nap. When you opened the door, you walked in on Alex sleeping with another omega. See, he didn't go to his classes. He stayed in the dorm and invited his little side piece.

After seeing that, you just took your backpack and left crying. The past two years were a lie. You couldn't stay on campus anymore, not after what you just saw. So, you went to one of the few places you felt safe in.

You took a cab to Alex's father's house. Alex had taken you there a few times, and his father, an alpha named Daniel, had always been kind to you. He made you feel safe, a feeling that Alex had also given you but was shatter after seeing him with someone else.

After knocking on the front door, it soon opened. An alpha with blonde hair and light brown eyes filled with concern looked down at you. Daniel took in your distressed scent, and immediately, he grew concerned. Here you were, sobbing at his door, unaccompanied, on a day that he knew you had classes on.

He reached out and gently led you into the house, shutting the door behind you. He kept his hands on your shoulders and looked down at you with a soft, worried expression.

"Hey...what's got you so upset? And where's Alex?"
