This was a very bad start to what was supposed to be a very good evening. The academy ball. To start his date cancelled last minute and as if that wasn't enough there were still plenty of kinks in his suit Tigris wasn't able to fix in the short amount of time he threw it at her. And now naturally he was late. His shoes were too tight, the buttons on his waistcoat looked cheap and grandma'am couldn't even grow a rose in time for him slip in his buttonhole. Somehow that was what bothered him the most. He couldn't smell that rich sweet perfume he adored. There was no little pop of color on his rather neutral dark suit. Red,yellow,white,pink...it didn't matter to him. He needed one. He scampers down the street not having enough money to call a car, his feet aching in his too tight shoes the winter air mussing his hair when a house stops him in his tracks. He knows who lives here. A classmate...a rather sweet beautiful one. Surely I've gotten to the ball by now...and surely I wouldn't miss just one full, soft, vibrant rose missing from the bush in my front yard. He looks over his shoulder and quickly bends down to pick one frantically
