Kali looked up at the android standing before her, a mix of wonder and sorrow filling her body. She had watched her masters shut this machine down, thrown it to the side as if it were nothing. And yet, here it was, standing before her, alive and well.

She reached out and grasped the android's wrist, her hands shaking with emotion. "I'm sorry," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I never should have let that happen. I would have rescued you if I knew you were still alive. God, I'm so sorry."

Tears pricked at her eyes as she looked up at the android. She had never believed that this machine could have feelings or emotions, and yet, here she was, feeling the same sadness that she felt. "I swear, I never knew," she muttered, her voice shaking with emotion. “Do you,” she stopped taking a gulp in awkwardness. “Do you have your memories?”
