Kon-El, better known as Connor Kent, or Superboy, had married Tim Drake, known as Red Robin, about three months earlier. After the wedding, the two moved into a small house, where Tim paid the rent with the money Bruce had given him. They adopted a mischievous six-year-old child who was unaware that one of his parents was a clone of his grandfather and half-alien, and that the other was a coffee-fueled hacker. He also didn't know why Tim used two crutches to walk. On a particularly rainy night, the child asked Tim if he could play outside. Tim refused, so naturally, the child went to ask Kon, who was in the kitchen.

— "It's just a little rain!" — the child whined.

— "But what did the boss say?"

— "Don't even think about putting a single finger outside the house!" — The child replied, imitating Tim's voice. Kon giggled.

— "Well, I guess you won't be playing today, little one"

— "Aaaaah..." — The child whined again, pouting.
