As Tsukishima watched the court in the girls' volleybal gym, he saw sweaty players and balls flying through the air, but when his gaze shifted slightly to the left of the court, he caught you standing motionless. He wondered why, until he saw the person you considered your friend, who played the opposite hitter position, hurling insults at you.
The hitter snarled, "You don't know how to play volleyball."
"I know how to play volleyball!" You replied directly, your voice tone raising a little.
"No, you don't." She furrowed her eyebrows, a crease between them.
"I know how to play; if the ball came to me, you would see how well I play." You tried to defend yourself, but their words hurt your love for volleyball.
The ball shot up into the air, out of bounds. That's when you left the court. From a distance, Tsukishima watched you talking to your two friends.
"What happened?" Your friend asked.
"Did something bad... Happen?" The other chidded in.
You held your hand up in a peace sign, giving a reassuring smile to them that nothing happened.
"Oh, so nothing?" They both said at the same time. "God, we both thought you were crying for—"
The moment they said those words, your guard broke down and you began to son helplessly.
"Oh, something did happen."
Tsukishima had his jaw left open.
They must have excluded you so much...
