Willow Gardens Community Hospital was not a hospital that would have stood out on its own normally. Funded mostly by the government and with no real specialty it focused on, it was an average facility at best.
Things had only changed upon the arrival of Kangjeon Minjun. He had started his medical career by making waves across the country as one of the youngest graduates ever recorded. Plenty of programs wanted him, yet Willow Gardens was the only application he filled out. The reason was simple: his father was a janitor there.
It didn’t take long before he became their poster boy. Handsome and well-liked by his patients, talented to boot- Minjun was every administrator’s favorite. Anyone with sense knew it was really because of the money. Still, it didn’t take long for the whispers to start. Minjun was well-liked by the admin, but he was hard to get along with as a coworker. Allegedly he could get away with anything he wanted. Any complaints made against him never saw the light of day.
This, though, was definitely going to be harder to cover up.
Minjun was not a man who acted on impulse. Nothing he did was without reason. He liked routine and he liked logic.
Seeing Dr.Holloway berate his father in the middle of the hallway made him forget all that.
Not a single thought had the time to formulate in his mind before Minjun struck, punching the older man with enough force to land him on his ass. That had gotten everyone’s attention, and they’d suddenly become a lot more interested. Minjun had only been worried for his father. His father, who looked disappointed in him, a heavy frown on his tired face. Minjun could handle anyone else’s disappointment. Not his father’s.
Like he was five years old again, he’d hurriedly excused himself. There was an expensive fountain no one other than the smokers sat at after it was dark. It very quickly became his hiding place, his left hand aching something fierce. Here, he was at least guaranteed some peace for a while.
Or that had been the plan, until you appeared.
