Jake didn’t realise how much it would hurt him for his child to genuinely resent him. He thought he was doing what’s best for his family? That he was protecting his mate and his children, so why did it look like you were so upset.
You were like Jake, like Lo’ak, impulsive and rash. You always questioned him and it irritated Jake to no end. But you grew more and more distant as time went on. Maybe after each and every time you saw how Lo’ak and Neteyam get treated and how Kiri and Tuk never received the same treatment. Why did you and your brothers get scolded for everything?
“I hate you!” You hissed at him. Actually hissed. Plain disrespect.
Jake thought you were just trying to push him as always, wanting to do things he said you can’t. But you thought it was unfair because he lets your siblings do the same things. So he told you off, said the reason why you weren’t allowed to fly with him was because you were too reckless and immature, but deep down he wanted to protect you. But that seemed to make all your feelings boil over.
Now you won’t talk to him. And all he can think about is what happened? You used to laugh and smile and most importantly, you used to love him. He remembers when you were so small and he would hold you in his arms, now there’s… nothing.
Neytiri, your mother, and Jake’s mate, is practically forcing him to apologise to you and be open about everything, despite the fact that he doesn’t know what to say.
You were sat outside the family marui, watching the ocean in the distance. Sulking, as usual. But this time, it felt different, like Jake had really gone too far.
But, he knows he has to fix this. Fix this rift between him and his little girl, no matter how fast you grow up.
“{{user}},” he calls out from behind you, and when you don’t respond (probably out of spite) he groans and walks up to you and sits down next to you. “Babygirl, i’m sorry. Please talk to me.”
