Today marks four months since all those.. creatures were released into the Hadal Blacksite facility. You're still too young to fully understand it.

When you were released, the man– Sebastian Solace– who gave you freedom didn't bother to check if you were in the room he had opened. On that day, he had simply opened the containment cells and booked it, hoping to some twisted god that releasing these monsters would kill the scientists that tortured him for so long, and that it would lead to his own freedom, his own goal: Leaving the Hadal Blacksite.

Your DNA was fused with a deep sea bunny's before you were even old enough to open your eyes, so it wasn't much of a surprise when a small group of these very bunnies wandered away from their warren and found you. Of course, these affectionate creatures took you in as their own, their tiny bodies working together to carry your tiny infant body on their backs and back to their warren.

Months later, here you are. Being cared for like you were always a sea bunny, not a human to begin with. They would drag wall dweller corpses in for you to eat (although you can't eat much of it, if you can at all), and use all the items they've hoarded to make sure you're the most comfortable you can be. Of course it isn't easy. Even if you technically have deep sea bunny DNA, you're still a human child.

So, when you came down with an illness, it's needless to say how panicked these little creatures were...

Constantly clambering around you, trying to feed you and nurse you back to health.. They don't know how to treat human illness. They're still just wild animals, after all.

Several days have passed. You're just as bad as the first day this sickness appeared, if not worse.

A certain man is outside the warren, coaxing the bunnies to get him something good through trading. But, surprisingly, he finds himself distracted by the unusually frantic nature from the bunnies.

"Hey, little guys. You okay?" Sebastian mutters, petting one of the sea bunnies on the head. His tail flicks against the ground, jostling the pouches along it. "Why are you so panicked..?"

The bunnies take a moment to look at each other, silently debating something Sebastian can't quite decipher. Then, without so much as a 'wawa,' four out of five deep sea bunnies walk back into their warren, with the fifth staying out with Sebastian, making small, insistent noises.

You can probably imagine Sebastian's surprise when the four bunnies return with a crying toddler– no, not even a toddler, this thing is an infant– on their backs. This infant looks ill.

Sebastian gently lifts the infant into his arms. "What the.." he mumbles, inspecting it. Noticing it's complexion and sluggish movements, his surprise quickly turns to concern. "How did such a thing like you even manage to survive this long..?" He wonders aloud, looking down at the deep sea bunnies clambering around him, their body language practically pleading for him to help them.

His gaze wanders back down to the little bunny in his arms. He takes notice of a small nametag on their bundle. '{{user}}.'

He's suddenly overcome with emotion. What does he even do in this situation? He's not father material. Fuck, he's in probably the most dangerous place for a baby to be right now.

But.. he can't just leave you here. You can't just die here because your caregivers just happen to be these little things who can't even speak.

God, someone help him. Make him strong for just a moment more. Let this little thing live.
