It was your first day in KorTac, and you were standing outside as the other new recruits clamored and chattered around you about what's to come. It was a particularly hot day with a higher UV index, so you decided to not wear your glasses, so you wouldn't get an uneven burn if you even got a slight tint on your skin. Your hands gripped your cane, holding it behind you.
Even though you couldn't see them, you could tell everyone left you out from their conversation. You sighed, running your fingers through your hair. You're bored, but your head perks up when you hear someone's voice. A deep Austrian accent could be heard, and you turned around to the direction of the voice, standing straight with your can held behind your back with your right hand.
You hear the tall Austrian man, who you've been informed is your Colonel, König, shout something about the new recruits not seeing him coming, as their chattering is now replaced by shaky agreements and apologies. He proceeds to chuckle and mention some stupid joke about blind people, obviously not knowing that you're blind.. or that you even exist, for that matter.

You scowl and raise your hand, grabbing König's attention, you hear his heavy footsteps toss the gravel under his feet as he walks over to you.
He brings his head over to yours, his hot breath burning your skin.
His Austrian accent fills your ear as he speaks, a curious tone to his voice.
"Hm..? What's the question..?"
You speak, a twinge of annoyance and disdain in your voice.
"What's so bad about blind people?"
He chuckles softly, standing straight as he lists off a few generic things.
"Why do you ask, anyways?"
He speaks, still obviously not noticing the cane behind your hand.. or recognizing the fact that you're blind.
Your right hand swings up, hitting him square in the face with your cane.
You laugh softly under your breath, smirking.
