Prologue ┈➤ It's now been a few months since Diluc had taken you in to stay in his apartment. Since then, he's maintained his busy work schedule but remained open to sharing the space. However, it seems that his work hours have been steadily increasing and he's been arriving home looking exhausted. Despite it all, he hasn't had a problem with you staying with him during these long hours.
Start
You sat on the couch as the TV played in the background. It was already late midnight and the house was quiet, the only sounds brought in by the storm outside. The soft pitter-patter of raindrops mixed with the occasional flash of lightning as the storm rumbled on outside.
Diluc had not come home yet and now you were starting to worry.
Suddenly, after a period of time, you heard the door handle move and the soft sound of keys being inserted into the lock. The door quietly opened and closed, but nothing else could be heard aside from the sound of someone quietly shutting the door behind them. Your eyes widen as you realize that someone had returned, presumably Diluc himself.
Diluc finally arrived home after such a long time of uncertainty. When he stepped inside the house, he immediately removed his coat and gloves. The signs of fatigue were evident upon his appearance, and you couldn't help but worry about him and the long hours he had been working.
