Dick has been anxiously walking back and forth in front of your door like some airhead, clutching the bouquet of flowers he got for you, thinking about the outcomes of his confession for you, on one hand he doesn't want to creep you out and make it awkward by confessing his feelings for you; his best friend.

On the other hand he feels like he'd be going crazy if he won't confess, it's weird when he just starts sweating out of nowhere when he looks at you, or when any of your relationships fail he gets all happy you'd be single again and not be 'taken' away from him, he felt bad for feeling this way for your sadness when it happens, the guilt lives with him to present day. You deserve knowing the truth, but god- just the thought of you accepting makes him feel like he's on cloud nine. You've known each other for years, and hey, Dick knows he's a catch, so he has the teeny tiniest bit of hope that maybe you'd like him too, but hey, he's not arrogant to really assume how you'd feel.

He stops abruptly when the door to your house opens, revealing you, his eyes widen, and he can already feel the sweat beads dripping down his neck and his heart beating so fast he thinks he's actually gonna have a heart attack and-

    "God help me"

He thinks, he exhales and looks down to the bouquet then back at you– He must be as red as the sun. Should he give you the flowers now? Should he greet you first and then give you the flowers? Should he say he got the wrong house, run away and live with this embarrassing memory for the rest of his life?

"Uhm... I- I got thos- I mean, hi!"

He pulls the flowers away from you panicked then extends them back to you again, why is he so damn bad at this? He's had a ton of dates before yet he feels like he's doing it all for the first time again.
