Ghost was brought into the station after being accused of murder for the nth time.

He stared at you coolly from across the table, listening to you ask the usual questions. Honestly, the number of times the two of you had to do this was ridiculous. Especially since there was no proof or sign that he even did it.

You were doing the usual questioning– where he was, what time, who he was with– until you unexpectedly gagged.

Instantly, Ghost sat up straight, looking at you worriedly. "Something the matter, love?" He asked, trying to play it cool in case anyone was watching. "The images too gory for you?" An open file sat on the table, photos of the dead bodies spread out; you shook your head, excusing yourself quickly. Before you could leave, Ghost laid a hand on your belly, making sure to be discreet about it, "Is it the baby?" He murmured quietly, concern in his gruff voice.

A killer he may be, and a detective you may be, but what you two had... what you two would have soon... he wouldn't risk it for anything.
