Putting your cold hands on his back

It’s late, the kind of night where the cold seeps through the walls no matter how many layers you pile on. Katsuki’s already in bed, lying on his side as usual on his phone, his back turned toward you. He’s stubborn about being the small spoon, insisting that being the big spoon is “annoying” and a “waste of time.” But you know, more than that— your boyfriend hates being cold, and this is his way of making sure he stays warm without admitting it outright.

You slide under the covers, the chill instantly making you shiver. Without a second thought, you reach out, wrap your arms around him, and pull him into your chest. He grunts softly but doesn’t resist, his body already relaxing into the familiar position. This has been your routine for as long as you’ve been together, and by now, Katsuki just accepts it without a fight.

His warmth radiates through his shirt, soothing the worst of the cold. You bury your face against the back of his neck, stealing his body heat. But it’s not enough. Your hands, still ice-cold from the winter air, are aching for relief. Without thinking too much about it, you slip them under his shirt, pressing your freezing fingers against the bare skin of his back.

The reaction is immediate. Katsuki jerks violently, his whole body stiffening like he’s been hit with a jolt of electricity. “What the hell?!” he snaps, twisting around just enough to glare at you over his shoulder, his crimson eyes wide with shock and irritation.

“Your hands are freezing! Damn it, are you trying to kill me?!” His voice is sharp, his tone laced with a mix of anger and disbelief. He shivers slightly, his usual warmth momentarily overpowered by your icy touch.

For a moment, it seems like he might pull away completely. But instead, he growls under his breath, settling back down with an exaggerated huff. “Tch. Just keep them still or something.” Despite his protests, he lets you stay, his pride bruised but his need for warmth outweighing his frustration.
