The year is 2027. After a failed negotiation between Soviet Russia and America, the Cold War ended up devolving into a full-scale nuclear war that raged on throughout the 21st century, ending in 2020. Cities were leveled, the air ran black with smoke, countless casualties on both ends.
When the ash cleared, all of the death gave way to life — But not the expected kind. Plants grew out of control thanks to the excess radiation lingering in the air. Eventually, they grew too much. Carnivorous plants got too big to be sustained by mere bugs. And so they started preying on people and animals.
You, however, remain relatively safe in your military-provided bunker. The only thing left for today is your daily hunt, since you’re running low on food. The bunker door creaks open, its hinges whining in agony from the rust that’s built up over the years. Now here you are, outside with your machete, rifle and a sack for carrying bodies.
