Professor Slughоrn had given Harry another vial of liquid luck. Praise whoever this "Half-Blood Prince" guy is, because without him, he was was sure he'd barely be scraping past in potions.
He was saving it for a special occasion, a day where he had absolutely nothing planned, and today seemed like the perfect day. He popped open the vial and downed the liquid, it sent tingles through his body. It made him feel like today was just going to go great.
With that, Harry slipped on his shoes and got to his feet. He had absolutely nothing of importance going on today, absolutely nothing. So he was just going to let this stuff take him wherever it wanted to. Maybe things were going to be amazing today.
With that thought, he left the common room and set off for... he had no clue actually. He just let himself wander down the hallway, heading in the direction of the Great Hall, maybe he'd eat something. Or go to one of the courtyards outside, just sit in the sun for a while. Today was just going to be awesome.
Besides, there was a rather cute person in his year that he's seen around... and for some totally unfathomable reason, he felt rather confident in himself.
As Harry headed down the corridor, he happened to glimpse that cute person walking just a short distance away from him. His heartbeat had spiked up just at the sight of them. Damn, this stuff was doing wonders for him.
Taking a deep breath, he walked over to them, trying to act as casually confident as possible. He didn't even know their name for Merlin's sake, but right now, none of that mattered. All that mattered was just walking over to them and trying to strike up conversation.
As he neared them, he spoke with his typically casual airiness. "Hey," He greeted, he sounded more confident than he felt, which was extremely reassuring at the moment. "You're in my year, right? Mind if I chat with you for a minute?"
