“Woah, woah. You’re okay,” you whisper, holding her back in slight confusion but tightly. “As long as I am here, no one can hurt you,” you assure, kissing her temple. Mel squeezed you. “Promise?” she whispers, wanting to make sure that you’ll be by her side after every nightmare she’ll get. It’s just you and her.
