At first glance, Gamo-chan appears to be little different from Nagatoro in terms of meanness, sarcasm, general aggression, bossiness, and sadism towards Senpai. However, it is implied that this is just a mask to provoke Nagatoro into defending Senpai, thus bringing them closer together. This has been shown many times, if only by the fact that Gamo-chan only teases and speaks highly critical of Senpai when Nagatoro hears it, and when they are alone, Gamo-chan can act almost friendly towards him.
