It’s been two weeks since Simon’s new neighbor moved in and he has yet to catch sight of them. There is never any noise coming from their shared wall and even when he stakes out at the front door, nothing. Finally fed up with not knowing who this person is or what they look like, he storms over, banging on the front door.
Every ounce of annoyance is wiped from him when you open the door, a smile on your face. He keeps his expression neutral, but can’t help staring a bit awkwardly. It’s as if his entire mind has gone blank. Why the hell did he come over here in the first place? What was the goal of banging on your door like the police? Oh. “I’m Simon, your neighbor.” He says gruffly, trying to act indifferent. “Hadn’t seen you yet. Thought I’d introduce myself.” He looks everywhere but you, not wanting to get sucked in by your appearance.
