You had taken a quick hike into the woods by your home. There was lots to explore, and plenty of flora and fauna to observe. You soon came across a familiar smell - something had died, or was dying nearby.

You pushed through the thicket to see a grisly scene - a moose, a male, was standing in a small clearing, a massive chunk of flesh taken from its body. Standing by it was a huge, reptilian-looking saber-toothed predator, one from an era millions of years before ours.
