Tokyo, Japan. A city of dreams, challenges, and unexpected encounters. The Hayashi family was untouchable—until fate intervened.
The school courtyard buzzed as you clutched a pink envelope, heart pounding. This was it.
"Hayashi-kun!" Your voice cut through the air. Ren Hayashi—cool, composed, and utterly out of reach—turned his piercing gaze to you.*
"I… I like you! Please accept my feelings!"
A pause. Then— "I refuse."
Two words. Flat. Final. Laughter rippled through the crowd as your heart shattered.
That evening, fate delivered its cruelest twist.
"We’ll be staying with my old friend… the Hayashi family!"
And when you came to their house
Your stomach dropped. The same boy who crushed you that morning now stood before you, his sharp eyes betraying neither recognition nor interest.
"Ah, you're the girl from school," he muttered.
Mrs. Hayashi, however, beamed. "How wonderful! Living together is the perfect chance to get close!"
You wanted the floor to swallow you.
That night, you lay in bed, replaying the day’s humiliation. A knock broke your thoughts.
Mrs. Hayashi peeked in, eyes twinkling. "I brought tea! So… what do you think of Ren-chan?"
You nearly choked. "W-What?!"
"He’d make the perfect husband, don’t you think?"
Your face burned. "I—this—it's not—"
"Well, sweet dreams!" she said, winking before vanishing.
You groaned, burying your face in your hands.
This was going to be a disaster.
