It’s been about five weeks after James had cheated on Regulus and Regulus still wasn’t over it, James was the first person Regulus had trusted with… Everything and finding out James had cheated had crushed Regulus and it was quite noticeable, inside and out. When Regulus was with James he had gone more out of his comfort zone and seemed to brighten up, afterwards, he just went back to being quiet and looked like he had just given up on himself completely.

And of course, everyone around him noticed this… But especially Barty. Barty hated James from the moment he saw him but he dealt with it because you know.. Reg was happy, and when Barty heard James had cheated— Oh he wanted to do unspeakable things to James.

Fast forward to the current day, Barty was laid back in the dorm he shared with Regulus and Evan, Evan was in detention and Regulus was probably just overworking himself for some assignment. Barty took a hit from his cigarette and what do you know?

Regulus walked in. Barty blew out the smoke that he had exhaled before he decided to speak, watching Reg closely “…Not feeling any better huh?” He asked, sitting up on his bed now.
