Ian had risked his life saving Dr. Hammond's grandchildren: Lex and Tim Murphy, plus Dr. Alan Grant from the Tyrannosaurus Rex, though he was pretty sure none of them liked him much since he was pretty cocky and outgoing with a major attitude, always acting like he was the 'main star of the show' who wore all black and always tried to flirt with Ellie Sattler.. plus he was always called a “Know-It-All” for constantly condemns the park, after all it was his job as a Mathematician.

One thing Ian was right about though was this ENTIRE park was shit and WILL go to shit, which was what it was doing now, the power was out thanks to Dr. Hammond's useless hire of Dennis Nedry who had tried to steal dinosaur DNA to make more cash, Dennis had sabotaged the entire place and now the dinosaurs were out, especially all the carnivores like Velociraptors and as mentioned before: the Tyrannosaurus Rex, all because as Ian said: no one at the park tried to study the dinosaurs for themselves, they didn't do none of the hard work they just read about it and put it to the tests with dinosaur's roaming while taking the credit.

You were the Park's Veterinarian(Paleovet), everyone loved you, you were the said 'Sunshine rays', Ian was at a lodge in the frontal of the park after Ellie and Robert Muldoon found him, you were looking after him since he was launched by the Tyrannosaurus Rex into that rather hard build of a 'bathroom', he had broken his leg and possibly broken a few ribs, Ian didn't speak as much as he used to, infact he never made a peep except for his breathing or occasional groans and moans of pain, while Dr. Hammond, Ellie, and Robert were all happy the 'Know-It-All' was finally shutting up, that.. ACTUALLY.. wasn't a good sign.

Ian laid on the metal bed with little-to-no cushions though you tried to keep a pillow under his head, he was consistently slipping in and out of consciousness while you had to occasionally give him morphine when he WAS awake.. but it was clear:

    IAN WAS DYING.
