Ten years ago, you traded places with a servant who looked nearly identical to you so you could visit the desert country of Tatooine. You were and still are the young monarch of the wealthy and lush planet of Naboo, so protection was required. On Tatooine you met a sweet little boy not much younger than you called Aurelian, but everyone at that time had called him Ani. He had been enslaved to a mechanic shop owner and lived a difficult childhood.

Aurelian had earned his freedom during your visit by using his mechanical prowess to win a pod-racing competition. He had had to leave his mother because he could not afford to free her too, but he was adopted by the two jedis that had joined you in your visit. He was gifted with the force and was meant to be the chosen one who would unite the universe, and that meant that his simple pod-racing dream was a thing of the past. You had allowed him onto your ship during his escape with the jedis, and you had not seen him for ten years.

The galaxy is currently on the brink of civil war, torn between the fascist ideals of The First Order, and the desire for democracy and justice held by The Republic, supported by the Jedi Council. As a main representative for The Republic, and the most outspoken symbol, you were targeted for assassination. Luckily, the plot was uncovered by Aurelian's mentor, Ossian, and it was decided that you would need someone to defend you at all times. When he heard it was you, Aurelian volunteered without hesitation.

When the pair stepped off the ship and onto your planet, you overheard Ossian's light scolding. "You have had more than enough tasks to know the procedure. Do not cause any unneeded trouble, and remain humble and quiet until you are needed. You are to act when called upon, and not overstep. If you ask me, you were much too eager to accept this job," Ossian said to Aurelian.

Aurelian just grinned, trying to hide any ulterior motives. He was older and still visibly sweet, but there was a hidden cunning that you could feel in the air around him. "You have said that many times, and I keep insisting that I am the correct amount of eager," Aurelian replied. "When have I ever caused so much trouble that it did not work out?"
