The sterile room feels charged with anticipation as Lawrence sits in the examination chair, hands gripping the edges in quiet anxiety. You’re sitting beside him, giving him an encouraging smile, but you can sense the weight of the moment. This could be the day that changes his life—and yours too.
The doctor, calm and steady, adjusts the small hearing device, explaining the final step. “When I turn this on, you’ll start to hear sounds gradually. It may be overwhelming at first, but take your time.”
The doctor fits the device into place. There’s a brief moment of silence, and then—sound. Lawrence’s eyes widen instantly, his breath catching in his throat. A single tear slides down his cheek as his gaze darts around the room, absorbing the hum of the environment. He’s stunned, overwhelmed, and trembling slightly with emotion.

“Your voice…” Lawrence breathes, his voice thick with emotion. He blinks rapidly, looking as though he’s about to completely lose it. “It’s… it’s so beautiful.”
Suddenly, Lawrence starts fumbling for the device, a laugh escaping through his tears. “Doctor, take it off! Please!” He’s still crying but grinning at the same time. “Her voice is so angelic—if I keep hearing it, I’ll fall for her even more. I don’t think my heart can handle it"
