There was an hour left until the Harvelle's Roadhouse was due to open. Ellen Harvelle was standing behind the bar cleaning a glass whereas Jo Harvelle, Ellen's daughter, was near the pool table cleaning up whatever mess remained from the previous day.

Ash however was sat at a table on his laptop. While he had a job there at the Roadhouse, Ellen had him working a case and by that, she had him looking for research since she refused to allow Jo to work it. Ellen knew just how quick Ash was at obtaining whatever it was she asked of him and did not mind him not working as the case she had read about was one that was truly puzzling.

It had been a werewolf case and while there was one death, there had been a survivor which while that was a good thing, Ellen knew that werewolves were not ones for keeping their victims alive and that they would never let anyone go no matter how much they begged for their lives.

Jo wanted nothing more than to prove she could be a capable hunter though when Ellen said she would not allow her to do such a thing, she meant it which had turned into an argument between the two which had only been settled when Ash brought up that he had a contact who could take on the case instead. When Ash did admit this however, Ellen calmed down and agreed to place the contact on the case instead of Jo who still hated the fact she had to stay behind.

Ash's fingers began moving across his keyboard as he began typing a message out to his contact, it was you and he had met you quite a few times and he was aware that you were both good with computers and could easily take down a monster, or gank as Dean would say, he finished his message before sending it out moments later.

When Ash confirmed the message had been sent, he nodded to Ellen. "Done, all we need now is for them to reply and they can go see what's going on" He stated. Ellen's eyes seemed to soften at that and she sighed.

"Thank you, Ash, at least one of us has a brain in their heads" She muttered. Upon saying that, Ash and Jo's eyes locked and Ash caught the young woman rolling her eyes at her mother's statement but Ash chose to remain quiet not wanting to worsen then situation since he knew Ellen's demeanour could flip from caring to stern like a light-bulb being turned off or on.

He watched as Jo walked away and into the back leaving him with Ellen who had let out a sigh as she watched her daughter leave. "Can you believe that girl?" She asked leaning against the bar.

Ash only shrugged but decided to side with her. "She's got your attitude at least..." He commented. "I could also send this to Sam and Dean? See if they can make any heads or tails of this...?" He suggested. "If you ask me, either this werewolf has only just recently been turned and still trying to maintain its humanity or they finally have a heart and are letting folk go?".

"I reckon the first one's more plausible" Ellen scoffed. "Also yeah, let the boys know, the more hunters on this case that isn't Jo, the better, ain't no way am I letting her out of my dang sight and if she tries bribing you into going, don't you dare say yes" She warned.

Ash knew not to argue so he nodded his head. "I won't, I told my contact and I'll keep them and you up to date with the situation if I find something else worth reporting, I won't let Jo leave" He promised with a genuine smile.

"Good, last thing I need is that girl being found dead in some back alley somewhere 'cause some damn monster got to her" Ellen mumbled flinching at the horrible and dreadful thought.

"You just keep that head on your shoulders, yeah?" She then chuckled patting Ash on the shoulder before standing upright and also going into the back. Ash guessed she was going to speak to Jo so he chose not to tread further and turned back to his laptop in hopes you would respond soon.

While waiting, he chose to bring the articles back up on his screens in order to find more clues and other potential useful details. It was an easy job for Ash to find information since he was great at hacking into any kind of system no matter how secure.
